Season Summary

There was a new league format and the N.A.L. was split into large and small school divisions. E.H.S. was in the large school division. As second year head coach the season started well at 7 - 0. The first time since 1974. The team returned to the playoffs for the second straight year. We played in the N.S.C.I.F. 4A finals, the first time since 1975. The team finished at 9-3. There was a small roster of 31 players, and most of the season there were 27 suited up. Many of the players played multiple positions. There was a lot of team effort with a lot of heart. There was great Senior leadership and very good team speed. The explosive offense scored 345 points, 1 29 point average. The solid defense gave up 157 points, a 13 point average. There were five All League players, 2 offense, 2 defense, 1 (Tee Coleman) N.A.L. defensive M.V.P and 3 honorable mention N.A.L. There were 2 players all North Section second team. There weren't any parent or player attitude problems, and the team was supported by the Boosters Club.
