ENTERPRISE HIGH SCHOOL

1995 JUNIOR VARSITY FOOTBALL SEASON RECAP

Overview:

Taking over as the junior varsity coach late in the summer presented certain challenges early in the season. Learning the system, evaluating the players, and figuring out how each player could be best utilized took time and effort. The support of the entire coaching staff made this transition easy for  me.

The season wasn't that successful in terms of wins and losses (3-7). However, there were plenty of successes along the way. The players played hard and carried themselves in a respectful fashion during the games and on the sidelines at all games.

Development of pride in the football program and in Enterprise High School was enhanced by the players' hard work and determination throughout the year.

Areas of Improvement:

Every successful program has a solid foundation (freshman and junior varsity teams). I plan to help give this program a solid foundation to ensure the success we had at the varsity level will continue in the future.

The following areas will be addresses during the off season:

-Develop a rapport with potential players in the ninth grade class and attain the goal of 40 players on the junior varsity team.

-Develop a rapport with the feeder schools and Enterprise youth football. This will help boost and maintain numbers in our freshmen program.

- Develop continuity throughout the entire program.

- Solidify the junior varsity coaching staff to ensure continuity in the program, as well as allow more individual attention to be devoted to the players.

I had a great time coaching the junior varsity football team this year, and I am looking forward to have the opportunity to help maintain and expand the program that is currently in place.
