Season Summary

Third year as head coach 26 - 8 overall record. It was a great year for Enterprise High School. Varsity and Frosh teams won the N.A.L first time for varsity since 1981. The varsity won the 5A north section championship, first time since 1976. Third straight year we were in the north section playoffs. The team finished with 11 wins and 1 loss. The last two years the varsity has a record of 20-4. We had a great senior leadership. Our offensive and defensive lines were undersized, but were a key ingredient to our success. Coach Guilfoyle did a great job. Mike Worley joined the staff as our offensive coordinator, he is a great addition to our program and did an excellent job play calling and coaching. Our offense was explosive scoring 446 points (37 pt. ave.). Our defense did a great job, 19 interceptions, 20 fumble recoveries, and only gave up 179 points for the season (14.9 per game ave.). We started the season 6-0, lost Jeff Dennis (shoulder injury) in the 6th game. Brought u soph. Dan Hoxie. Dan did a great job at 2 back, 3 back and L.B., big plays vs. Anderson, Foothill, and Red Bluff. North Section Championship Game at Shasta College, standing room only, defeated 3 time defending champions, Pleasant Valley 46-23. Down 23-6 at one point, came back and scored 40 unanswered points. Jeff Dennis rushed for 5 T.D.s. 240 yds, 92 yd. K.O. return. Great defense as well. Tee Coleman scores twice on defense. Ryan Kacalek set the school career passing record.
