Season Summary:

Fifth year as head coach 45-14 overall record. Another great year for Enterprise football. The Varsity tied for second in the N.A.L. and went on to win the north section Div. 1 championship with three straight playoff victories. The J.V.'s after 1-4 start finished 4-1 N.A.L. co-champions.The Varsity played 13 games most in school history. We had a very young  team, many Juniors in key positions. Opened with Corning, gave up a 14 point lead to loose 21-14. Went on to post pre-season victories over Paradise, Lassen and Shasta in the River Bowl. Lost at Chico. Opened league with a 27-0 loss to Foothill and went on to finish 3-2. Opened the playoffs as the #4 seed against Lassen (#6 seed) won a mistake filled game at home 10-7. Defeated Foothill who were seeded #1 in the section ranked 5th in state - great victory over a team most people thought couldn't be beaten, scored on out first 2 possessions, went on to win 21-15. Defeated Chico (#3 seed) 7-6 in a very muddy rain game at Chico State Stadium, for the North Section Title. This year was a struggle to get our younger players to work hard in practice. But they were very competitive overall. Our strengths had to be our experienced offensive line, and out solid defense, that allowed only 14-4 pts, a game. Coach Guilfoyle and Worley once again did a great job with their groups. The players bought in and believed in their coaches and maintained a good attitude throughout the season. We continued to improve during the season with some key adjustments late in the year we were able to avenge to early season losses in the playoffs and go on to win the North Section.

GOOD PLAYERS ~ GOOD COACHES ~ GREAT ATTITUDE
